Where We Operate
About This Initiative
A community-led relief effort running distribution activities for displaced families, children, and vulnerable individuals across Kassala. The initiative provides food, water, and nutrition support through a dedicated volunteer network, operating in shelters, schools, and displacement camps.
Kassala, a city in eastern Sudan near the Eritrean border, has received large numbers of displaced people fleeing conflict elsewhere in the country. The Red Crescent and other shelters have been overwhelmed. Takiya Husna fills critical gaps in nutrition and basic needs support.
Who Runs It
Operated by a volunteer team including Mohamed Saleh, Issam Dirar, Israa Al-Haj, Arafat Saeed Mahmoud, Zohour Mohamed Ali, Mawahib Omar, Hiba Adam, Nahid Ali Al-Amin, Hala Hassan, and the late Asia Ishaq.
