Sudan Cultural Gala
About This Event
The Sudan Cultural Gala at Pauley Ballroom, UC Berkeley was an evening of cultural pride, storytelling, art, and compassion organized by Bay Area Students in Sudanese Solidarity (BASISS). Guests enjoyed Sudanese art, music, and cuisine while coming together around a shared commitment to supporting vulnerable families in Sudan. BASISS is a student organization at UC Berkeley dedicated to raising funds and awareness for communities affected by the ongoing conflict in Sudan. Proceeds from the gala went directly to SPAFS's field programs including community kitchens, agricultural training, and microfinance initiatives.
